Hi! My name is Ciara Akil, I'm 17 years old and I'm the CEO of The Princess Plug. After scrolling through Instagram and TikTok for hours everyday, I finally decided it was time to do something productive with myself. Accounts like BagsforBaddies and Youtubers like Localblackchild and Boujee Barbiee have always made me want to start my own business, but I never had the yearning to start until early July. When I announced my business to the world, a lot of people supported me, but there were also some people who didn't. Even though that did hurt me, I realized that the best way to prove them wrong is for my business to be successful. I planned for weeks, launching business pages and researching the best places for inventory and I know it's not going to be perfect the first time, but I'm excited to grow from it. The Princess Plug is not only my baby, but I want it to be yours as well. With your help, my goal is to make this business not just about selling my products, but helping other future entrepreneurs like myself to become successful as well.
